2015, That's A Wrap

What a big year this was for us. We finally finished grad school, and decided to start life in Idaho. But first we spent the new year in Colorado visiting the Hedbergs, then we moved to Twin Falls, spent a couple of weekends up in Sun Valley, went to a friend's cabin in Stanley, announced baby #3 on the way, got to fly over to Washington to spend Thanksgiving with the Robins crew, took Heber skiing a couple times, and went to Hawaii.

Remember 2013?

This is way way late, but I decided I need to do it for my family's records anyway. I really need to be better at blogging this next year. Hopefully this kickstarts me into blogging action.

2013 was a crazy, never-would-have-expected-that, fun, adventurous year. First of all, Heber was just a baby at the beginning of the year, and then we had Simon by the end of the year. Looking at those photos it's almost hard to tell which baby is which. lol.
Starting the year off, we moved from our condo to my parent's old house to fix up and do a million projects. We found out we were pregnant with #2 on our 5yr anniversary and Heber had his first birthday in the spring. We went on several adventures: Capitol Reef, Bear Lake, girl's trip to San Juan Islands with my sisters and mom, and Monterey where Eric had a school rotation. We welcomed baby Simon to our family in the fall and celebrated Eric's younger brother's wedding with all the Williams family together. Eric and I learned how to make Swiss Bratzeli cookies for Christmas and we got in a few good ski trips to Sundance. We went to a Bob Dylan concert, our first family Giants game, and several bike rides this summer.
It was a wonderful year. I feel like it was the year for growing this family, and keeping everyone healthy and strong. We kept Simon home most of the winter because he was in the NICU for a bit and we wanted him healthy. I am so glad 2013 happened the way it did, because I couldn't imagine my life any other way than how it is right now.

2012 wrap up

This year was the best year of my life. How could it not be? Our sweet little Heber came into our lives. At the beginning of the year I was working full time up until Heber was born in April, and then my world changed. Eric started school for Physical Therapy, and I learned how to be a stay-at-home mother. It was a year for so much learning and growing. Wow, some days were hard. But I am soooo grateful for it.
We were able to visit my sisters this year in Washington and Colorado and also took a little vacation to California and introduced Heber to the beach. We got back on our bikes and took Heber along with us. We went skiing, of course, and I went to Wicked with all my sisters and mom. I worked hard on a family history book and Eric spent many long hours studying his eyes out. I'm so proud of him for all he fits on his plate and still has room for us. I love my little family more than anything in this world, and I am so grateful for this past year I've had to grow closer to them.

Something good coming

It's hard to believe an entire year has gone by again. Man time flies!
Eric and I did so many great things that I want to remember, and sometimes this post is the only way I can do that. (this next year i'll hopefully document more throughout the year... cross your fingers).
We had lots of family get-togethers this summer. I got to see my great aunt Neva, and we had a tye-dye party at my parents this summer. We welcomed so many new babies to the family and traveled around seeing them. I went to girls camp this year and spent many hours prepping for it. Eric and I both went camping together as much as we could on the weekends and we went skiing on the 4th of July. A big number this year as Eric turned 30 and he also gave a very important speech for his work this spring. Eric went to Germany in February and Austria in October. I wanted to go somewhere too, so we both went to Bali for an amazing adventure for one last time of just the two of us. Yep, we announced we are having a baby in April, and decided it would be nice to bring someone along on our next travel adventure.
It's been a whirlwind this last year, and probably will be this year, but we are both looking forward to it. We are both beyond excited to have a baby and can hardly wait for it to arrive. Yay for new years and new goals and new adventures.

I love this song... the lyrics say so much for the beginning of a new year... "there's something good coming just over the hill..."

2010 was good

2010 was good to us. It brought so many wonderful memories to treasure. Eric went to the Olympics in Vancouver to work and I got to visit him. We skied our hearts out that winter, and then got on our bikes when the weather permitted and rode some beautiful rides. We went to Lake Powell and Moab with the Proctor clan, and then Eric and I went to Jackson and hiked the Tetons. We hopped over to Colorado a few times and also went to our first rodeo together. I ran a half marathon in October and won women's overall for our small triathlon we do every year Kamas. Eric and I ran the MudRun with some friends in Midway. We went to a few outdoor concerts and watched the Jazz any chance we could. We finished our basement- Well, mostly Eric finished the basement, and we worked on some projects around the house. We both helped each other through our busy seasons of work and made some delicious meals together.
All these adventures and memories, and I'm so glad I have someone I love that I can share them with. That's what makes me the happiest.
Here's to a good 2011. . .

2009 Recap

Great memories this past year. Eric and i celebrated our one year anniversary, we went skiing and biking as much as we could, i graduated from college, we went of some fun road trips, met our new nieces and nephews, went to some best friend's weddings, competed in races, watched our fair share of Jazz games, Went to some great gigs of Eric's band, family outings, Eric caught the fishing bug, i got a new job, we both got excited about remodeling our house, Eric went to France and Canada, I missed him, We learned how to cook some foreign foods, and started a search for the perfect puppy for our family.
I get a little teary eyed when i think about the past. Memories are so wonderful. I love reminiscing about all the good things in our lives. It's so easy to think about the negative. That's why i think this holiday is so wonderful. We remember the good and reach for the better. Bring on 2010.
